Official Royal Wedding Program Details The Big Day

Official Royal Wedding Program Details The Big Day

Hey, royal wedding watchers! Why wait until a bleary-eyed Friday morning to get the lowdown on Prince William and Kate Middleton's marriage ceremony at Westminster Abbey?

We already know that the bride-to-be won't vow to "obey" her husband, as well as the names of some of the invited guests, but we also now know what her brother will say at the ceremony, the prayers, the music and more, thanks to the just-released official program.

The 28-page program opens with a message from William and Catherine (as she prefers to be called) which reads, "We are both so delighted that you are able to join us in celebrating what we hope will be one of the happiest days of our lives. The affection shown to us by so many people during our engagement has been incredibly moving, and has touched us both deeply. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone most sincerely for their kindness."

The couple will exchange vows taken from the 1966 Book of Common Prayer, including the promise to ''love, comfort, honour and keep'' each other. The prince will place a ring on his bride's finger -- though he has decided not to wear one -- and prayers will be said.

Middleton's brother James will read a passage from Romans 12: 1, 2, 9–18, which includes the words, "Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good; love one another with mutual affection; outdo one another in showing honour."

As for music, Middleton will walk up the aisle -- a three-and-a-half minute stroll -- to ''I Was Glad'' by Sir Charles Hubert Hastings Parry from Psalm 122, accompanied by her wedding party, including sister Pippa.

Other tunes during the 75-minute service will include the hymn "Jerusalem" by William Blake, "Love Divine All Love Excelling" and "Greensleeves." The pair will leave the Abbey to the music "Crown Imperial" by William Walton.
