	Career Center Helpdesk Support Technician POSTED: May 04 Salary: Open Location: La Canada Flintridge, California Employer: Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy Type: Full Time - Administration Category: Technology Preferred Education: 4 Year Degree Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, a Catholic, Dominican college preparatory school for young women, is seeking a Macintosh support technician with great customer services skills to be a key facilitator of the new 1:1 laptop program being launched in September 2012! You will be the initial point of contact for troubleshooting Mac (and some PC) hardware/software, peripherals, and networking problems. You will ensure that no student or teacher is without the use of their laptops for any extended period of time. Responsibilities ? Install, maintain, repair and configure hardware and software on student, faculty and staff computer systems. ? Support, set up and configure new and used computers and laptops to established standards, including access to the wireless and wired network. ? Configure and troubleshoot classroom technologies such as SMART boards, projectors and document cameras. ? Assist and train users in the operation of computers and common applications such as word processing, email, web browsers, productivity and creative software titles. ? Utilize the Apple GSX system and inventory management software to manage the 1:1 laptop repair process. ? Troubleshoot day-to-day student computer problems. ? Maintain and administer the software images for all student desktop/laptop computers school-wide. ? Maintain software and security programs for student computers. ? Maintain inventory database for all student desktop/laptop computers and printers school wide. ? Help execute the annual refresh and imaging of up to 450 student and teacher laptops. ? College degree preferred, but not required ? Experience supporting Mac hardware/software, preferably as a Mac Genius or Apple technician ? Certified Apple and /or Windows technician or certification in progress ? Demonstrated knowledge of Macintosh OS X / Windows operating system administration ? Knowledge of, and ability to support, the Microsoft Office products ? Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware and software computer problems ? Ability to assist computer users who have wide ranging technology skill levels ? Demonstrated ability to work independently, anticipate workload, set priorities and complete work on a timely basis ? Demonstrated ability to interface cooperatively, courteously and professionally with students, teachers and co-workers ?
